Verkeersschool Bliksem: a refreshed website that loads 5x faster

Verkeersschool Bliksem is a driving school in Den Helder. They had just launched a new website, but their previous web developer had left a lot of problems unsolved: bugs, visual glitches and a website that loaded slowly.

The website was hosted at a large, low-cost hosting provider whose customer service fell short. Because Matreon is also based in Den Helder, they came to us.

First, we moved the website to our servers, without downtime. Then we redesigned a large part of the website, fixed many bugs and visual glitches, and improved the content and SEO. We also advised on a few additions to their house style, which we later implemented.

With the LiteSpeed Cache plugin for WordPress and Cloudflare, we set up proper caching, so the website loads much faster. All this work took us three working days, scheduled whenever there was room for it.

Building and managing websites is not a standard Matreon service. Still, we keep the Verkeersschool Bliksem website up to date and help them whenever they get stuck. We also manage their domain names.

The Verkeersschool Bliksem website is now 5 times faster and looks more professional. And when they can't fix something themselves, help is only a message away.
